CANtrace 3.18 release supports now also scripting

This release of CANtrace introduces the new Python scripting functionality

CANtrace 3.18 release allows users to extend the default functionality of the software with additional Python scripts directly inside the program. The scripts allow users to dynamically create, filter, and modify CAN signals for different applications and testing needs.

CANtrace also includes descriptive example projects in the public CANtrace folder to help users get started

J1939 database updated

The updated J1939 database now uses the latest version of the J1939 Digital Annex available at the time of release. The new version also adds support for DM2 and RQST messages and enables DTC decoding from both DM1 and DM2 messages.

New and changed functionality

The updated Graph tab now adjusts Y-axis precision dynamically for improved signal visualization.
The Trace window now sorts signals by start bit from lowest to highest for easier analysis.

This release also fixes a bug related to duplicate CAN IDs from Primary DBC translation.
In addition, the development team implemented several quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes throughout the software.

The update also fixes an issue that previously occurred when users uninstalled CANtrace while the application was still running.

Before uninstalling CANtrace the program must be completely closed. This ensures that all unnecessary files are deleted in the uninstallation process. Support for Windows 7 operating system has been ended in this release. This is because Microsoft ended their support for Windows 7 operating system on January 14, 2020.
