Kvaser CANopen Stack release

Kvaser CANopen Stack 2.1.4 release

Kvaser CANopen Stack release introduces new functionality that that generates stack object dictionary files directly from CANopen node EDS files.

The release also adds support for CANopen time consumer object functionality. TKE updated the Kvaser CANopen Stack and included demo projects to support compilation on Linux platforms.

CANopen node setup and extended Linux compatibility with new GUI tool

A new graphical user interface (GUI) tool automatically generates object dictionary files and configuration header files. The tool simplifies CANopen node configuration and streamlines the setup process for developers.

With this update, developers can now use application callbacks to handle communication reset and node reset events. This provides better control and customization of communication processes.

The Kvaser CANopen Stack and related demo projects have been updated to be compatible with Linux platforms. Developers can now compile and run the sine wave and master demos on Linux platforms, expanding the range of supported environments.

CANopen Update: Time consumer and 29-bit CAN-ID support added

The release adds support for CANopen time consumer object functionality. This enables CANopen nodes to consume time-related information and improves synchronization and coordination in distributed systems.

In response to user feedback, the update also adds support for 29-bit CAN IDs in compatible objects. This feature provides more flexibility for utilizing extended identifiers in certain applications.
